Built like a dream out of the past crushing generations with a foggy mass of seething anger and unhealed wounds I can’t make this right but don’t be confused I am a rifle I am this blockade I’m banners and violence and car-bombs and riots I am a rifle I am this blockade I am the fire of a thousand murdered sons Don’t look to me to give the future back don’t look to me to rework the past I’m only here to bring things to a head you can cover your ears it doesn’t change who I am I am a rifle I am this blockade I’m banners and violence and car-bombs and riots I am a rifle I am this blockade I am the fire of a thousand murdered sons I haunt the Chilcotin, I stalk Palestine. I fueled Rwanda’s worst I held Lasagna’s hand. I’m one hundred shades of hunger I am a rifle I am this blockade I am the fire of a thousand murdered sons I am resistance I am your problem I’m not leaving and I am your fault

I was in a room it was beautiful. This is something that can be shared. We moved together and no-one felt alone. There was music and something else in the air not like a drug, it felt like love Why exclude when there’s room in here? Fear is what stops us. Hatred stops us. Pride can stop us. Weakness stops us. Ignorance stops us. Self-doubt stops we’re on a mission and this exclusion kills us The moon was so bright on our back like a train overtaking you’ve got to move fast the pain of being around for such a short time the immortality you seek from being part of something more Fear is what stops us. Hatred stops us. Pride can stop us. Weakness stops us. Ignorance stops us. Self-doubt stops we’re on a mission and this exclusion kills us We’re on the right track in one tiny scene but for things to change our ideals must be mainstream. The subdivision of subculture has our numbers growing thin ignore the difference Bring ‘em in Bring ‘em in! We’ve got a group with an ethic of tolerance and a practice of ignorance a standard of activism and a practice of inaction a history of collectivism but community is a place to begin and did I mention there’s guitars Bring ‘em in Bring ‘em in! Fear is what stops us. Hatred stops us. Pride can stop us. Weakness stops us. Ignorance stops us. Self-doubt stops we’re on a mission and this exclusion kills us Fear is what stops us. Hatred stops us. Pride can stop us. Weakness stops us. Ignorance stops us. Share the ideal, live the way you feel try to move faster just to stay awake

This place is a trap. The outside has been choked off and the brilliance of it is we can’t seem to tell. Put bars up around me, I’ll see them right now, trap me with words, I’ll swear I built it myself Manufactured consent through passive means. A pervasive and constant lullaby about choice but this can’t be true cause there’s only one side. You’re gonna have to do better cause I won‘t lose my mind They say love these walls cause without them we’d fall. But this thinking’s so small we only live despite them all. Your cages won’t save us; they’re no help at all. We know you’re fucking wrong Please save me she says and looks to the sky but the sky doesn’t answer and the girl doesn’t fly. But she crosses herself sits back on the floor and rocks while she cries still believing the stories There is nothing worth saving that can’t be taken away this tyranny is fuckin smooth the old methods are gone. You think your voice is getting through cause you can vote or wave a sign but you’re gonna have to do better if you intend to keep your mind. They say love these walls cause without them we’d fall but this thinking is so small we only live despite them all. Your cages won’t save us, they’re no help at all, we know you’re fucking wrong We can see it cruel we resent it. Relentless, invasive you can’t fool me. I’m confused by rules they’re never precise enough for me and it doesn’t matter how far you take them they’re never gonna be. I need a place where everyone can see but I’m not kidding myself I know it’s just a dream. Right now is all I’ve got so I won’t be caught. You can fuck yourself you can’t fool me

The strobe of explosions lights the terror on your face and I can’t see my feet through the dust that chokes the streets When it all has settled they’ll find bodies that won’t exist though we’ve repeatedly been told that were safer in this place Hold my hand dear sister they can’t fall like this forever Run! run Run! run The bombers aren’t like soldiers they haven’t got their own minds but they were fuelled and reloaded. How’s it gonna end? If it ever ends I imagine whole armies on trial You're guilty by your apathy and complicit in your simplicity don’t try to blow it off as too far beyond your means I will repeat myself until these ideas are heard I’ll write about disorder and murder driven by simple greed Now change places I’m still not awake and landing lights brush past my face/ a soldier here I feed the planes Illuminated by diodes close enough to burn my skin. There is also a pale yellow glow but that comes from within “Snap out of it kid, you’re gonna lose your head”. Stupid motherfucker I never owned it anyway The big Bomber is fuelled and the turbines whine its dirty claws rake the sky scars in the form of jet streams Oh tell me not to leave for the hills this place is lost we’re gonna let ‘em burn I’ll take the kind we’ll save ourselves but leave the trapped to die I know that’s not right It seems we’re overrun and this chapters nearly closed it can’t happen fast enough it’s all gotta go Giving up on everything is as bad as giving in you’ve got a voice let’s hear you throw it in All the tired sceptics say how’s this gonna end If it ever ends. I imagine whole armies on trial You're guilty by your apathy and complicit in your simplicity don’t try to blow it off as too far beyond your means I will repeat myself until these ideas are heard I’ll write about disorder and murder driven by simple greed Don’t accept your place in a place where slavery is sold as freedom while children beg for water. Lay down your arms when those who follow orders like they’re not responsible lay in shallow sullied graves!

ATD - 430am 02:29
Another sleepless night about a winless fight I’m thinking maybe I’ll just pull out but how do you say goodbye when you don’t know how to talk. So I know I can’t walk cause this is all that I know and it’s not that I don’t care but things are fucked up and I don’t know what else to do 4:30 AM I still haven’t slept I’m thinking what is it that I have kept locked up inside of me so tight that it makes me scream my mind and drive all night. There’s a million kids in a thousand dimensions and if there not like you you gotta hold it against them. Try to remember we’re all in a time where it’s forbidden to talk I gotta figure out what I’m trying to say because all that comes to mind in the middle of the night all alone in the dark is waaa haa hey I know that I’ve said before but I’m gonna say again that it’s a long walk home And I know that we’ll make it in if we can recognize that we’re long lost friends. If they have there way that is if we let them hold sway they’d fill us with hate and say we’re not the same But I know that if we don’t give in we’re gonna find a song that we all can sing I know that I’ve said before but I’m gonna say again that it’s a long walk home But I know that if we don’t give in we’re gonna find a song that we all can sing 4:30 AM…

1980 Regan is sworn in and he promises to make America strong again Build up the military rid all the Communists start an arms race only he can win West 72nd street Manhattan Mark David Chapman with a gun in his hand A Manchurian candidate on a star struck date who’s body is a tool for a for the CIA As he looks up from the sidewalk his surroundings come into view his eye track back down past his wrist, his mind is not his own nor is the gun that he’s holding and he has the strange sensation of wondering what he will do Lennon wanted a revolution and that was more than they could take The Republicans needed a solution aggression is how they communicate 1980 christmas not too far away a songwriter crawls dying in the night Four 38s caught in his back and a black-op pawn rewrites Catcher in the Rye Not a worldwide leader but a worldwide motivator of anti-war activism with the power to cause peace When 5 years in hiding only makes your legend stronger there is only one way to stop you imagine what could have been Never before or since has one person held influence on so many people to move toward peace and all that it means then put your self in Reagan’s shoes, what would you do? I want to think that normal is beautiful I want the things that I can do to be enough for me I want some truth in the way we act and feel Not reflections of the way that we think that we should be I want back everything you stole I want everyone to see that this is so hollow I’ll peel your talons back you’ve lost this one now let me go All we want is to be left alone Since I could see I’ve been led to believe That perfect is attainable in the way we look and feel My expectations from greeting to goodbye Are tainted by feelings that they’re not what they should be The idea that it’s really not so bad depends on how you define survive If we looked inside we’d probably find hey we’re alright All we want is to be left alone Don’t mistake my desire to avoid you for some kind of pacifist stance When I figure out what the fuck and how I’ll come across the table and tear you down Your brutal shot begins each day rancid starlight sucks my will away glossy pages another perverse faith All we want is to be left alone
8.
It's a beautiful future come be a part of it Don’t think twice it’s not actually a choice It’s got all you could want promises on promises Don’t be afraid just go along with it Expect everything you would never dream of Let your imagination go to a sci-fi wonderland Built from the most marvelous things Your friends will never believe what you’ve seen It’s a beautiful future It’s a long steep stairwell to nowhere It’s a beautiful future Don't believe it for a minute run away Look for the source of what you see behind the brilliance of the display It’s a beautiful future Hooray…? It doesn’t get any safer than 10 million cops Helicopters up high and police dogs The borders are sealed you’ll never get out But believe me there is nowhere better to go You’ll see things never seen Like cities underground and the very last tree Miles and miles of scorched black sand But nevermind all that come spend some time Read the fine print for this trip It’s a bumpy ride that will make you sick and We’re not sure if it’s better to survive But you can decide that when you arrive Take care of your eyes mind the sun Don’t worry about thirst the water’s gone Put some beans in your basement and get ready to beg A new dark age is on its way It’s a Beautiful future The rest of your life in the shiniest cage Blind panic should clog your veins violent rebellion against this change should fill your pointless days It’s a beautiful future. Hooray.

You might believe this is a real nice place where everyone is free and more or less safe But did ya know around the world they’ve locked up about 10 million people? You might not have known but that just changed don’t confuse this for justice just cruel and insane But to those among us that know and are raising hell to free them Fight for the sun my bold friends, fight for the sun this night will end. I promise... Fight for the sun my bold friends, fight for the sun this night will end Fight for the sun fight for the sun fight for the sun it’s coming We might look different but we’re all the same in that we all need to move and feel love to stay sane But our cruel species withholds these rights from 25 Billion creatures How many years cutting day and night would it take to sever that much chain? You need to help what will it take to get you all to see this!? I wait they wait when is it coming? Don’t wait, they wait you must bring the sun. Let’s go bass man walk me home now It’s only music but I’ve got you listening Crank the volume bring the rage up Harder drummer let them hear it I need some voices a thousand voices I need you all and one more thing guitar guitar guitar guitar
10.
Fuck you all I know what’s going on you’ll remember me when I’m gone I follow the path of the greats and through their words I got the truth about you and the world I’ll spill both blood and bile, kill myself trying to walk the same miles And no it hasn’t occurred to me that I chose the martyrdom of art over the military I know you think you’re right but I can see you’ve been deceived And if your goal is tragedy then I’d say you’re on your way There’s no glory in cell destruction I’ve been built to do as I’m told Me big, me strong “shoot guns not dope” my life’s so structured I’ll be cast in stone The war exists in my own back yard it seems I’ll take my streets back with my knife and my 2 bare hands I’m mentally programmed for order and control, question what I’m really doing… No fuck no! I know you think you’re right but I can see you’ve been deceived And if your goal is tragedy then I’d say you’re on your way Your minds bleached clean from the stains of blood just a marionette holding a gun You wouldn’t join an army or religious cult but you’re in a cage of words that you built yourself They’ve actually got you by your arms and your legs There are hooks in your mind that are there to stay Free your mind Find some order We both need to take a look at each other The same lies come from both sides We’re all gonna die
11.
Even the night air was like a blow drier so in the daytime he’d stick to the canyons between the buildings where the anomie is enough to send you reeling But in the evenings he found a scene where this didn’t matter Maybe 200 people and some old amplifiers and when he was among them he was someone at last And among this little scene people recognized the mind of poet and a prophet with some wisdom for the world I’m at war with the liars I’m a war with the thieves I’m at war with all this hatred all I want is peace. But I can’t find the truth there is politics to these streets, there’s a cop in every one of us and I am an urchin thief The other side of this glorious life was the true credibility of being dirt poor. You can’t get a job if you can’t get a shower besides there’s no fuckin grandeur in being a slave. So his favourite transgression was big overstocked stores it seemed much less harm than robbing more poor. It’s not up to us to question the way that he lived but I’ve got a huge problem with the way that he died I’m at war with the liars I’m a war with the thieves I’m at war with hatred and all I want is peace. But I can’t find the truth there is politics to the streets, there’s a cop in every one of us and I am an urchin thief Some Sunday evening he was caught in an alley with his namesake in one hand and a new pup in his coat The cops shot him in the face they said he was armed. He was just a scared kid holding a hacksaw. Just another street kid wasn’t worth a thing Nothing more just go on with your day Listen late at night you’ll hear the streets ring The sum of all this conflict and all he had to say was, “all I want is peace”
12.
The bars on the windows don’t make me feel more secure it just reminds me that we’re trapped in here When I blink lately I see fire and if I keep them closed I’m free for a while And there’s black but with stars of gold and the hint of something better that these streets now hold Something complete and a chance to believe and now I’m stronger since I see fire woah I see fire burning I see fire burning I see fire burning Can you smell the hope I see fire burning I see fire burning now we’re tearing up their shitty fuckin world We met a short prophet with soot on her face standing on a box and screaming at the sky I’m just once small voice but like a beacon of light I’ve drawn you to me to even up the score I got hand full of matches and a heart of gold I’ve had this vision from out in the cold but that will change when I make you believe I’ve called you all together cause I see fire woah You can’t defeat us or come between us but you may join us as we watch it burn
13.
You probably understand the shame of hatred over race so I’d like to point out a couple other things. You were born in this spot did you deserve what you got? How about any other? Human or not. And your perspective it must be the best never mind that your mentors built this fuckin’ mess How about your ability or the way that you talk what makes you so special let’s give it some thought Why gender? Why species? Why country? Why family? Indoctrination Why gender? Why species? Why country? Why family? What is it you think you see? Let’s examine the flag they assigned you at birth, why is it there? How does it work? If people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones then those in ivory towers probably shouldn’t break bones How about religion? Artificial division all decked out with dogma and tricks And finally this thing to round out the list. Does your dick make you better? It sure don’t look like it Why these arbitrary lines between you them and me? Why the pride in privilege not what you’ve achieved? Why do you think you know better how we all should be? I can’t see how we’ll ever agree? Do you believe that some should die starving? Cause millions of soldiers enforce this doctrine Look for your power not a messiah Scream for the eagle and scream for the vulture What you do is all you are and you could probably do better than the pain you’re causing Scream and scream like you’re the one dying And don’t stop screaming until your heartbeat stops
14.
It’s been so long since I felt like I had it right but I’ve got three strong reasons I’ll be alright tonight. Two’ve got guitars and the others got my back. I know what you’re thinking, will it be enough? Is it enough, is the music enough, is it enough, well it’s enough for me The amps go off and I feel like I’ve been dropped I can’t help thinking I wanna stay inside that chorus. There’s only one thing that’s ever kept me from harm it’s my one true love and my favorite place to go. Is it enough, is the music enough, is it enough, well it’s enough for me
15.
Is it in you heart is your heart in it what do you give when you do what you do Me and my crew are like a bunch of kids in a tiny fort in a tattered tree that’s forgotten about it’s roots but I can still see the ground And what of us up so high does it mean we’re something divine nope see it just means I’d rather not hear your lies Who’s true? Truth crew. Who’s true? Truth crew. Who’s true? Truth crew. Don’t make me ask again Who’s true? Truth crew. Who’s true? Truth crew. Who’s true? Truth crew. now lets go back to the start I don’t care what you have to say unless you really believe it anyway and so check your self when you sing does the truth come out when you sing does the truth come out And if it doesn’t then look around and ask yourself if you’ve found the key to your empty life. The words of my prophets all ragged with lies honestly Jane I don’t know any more Who’s true? Truth crew. Who’s true? Truth crew. Who’s true? Truth crew. Don’t make me ask again Who’s true? Truth crew. Who’s true? Truth crew. Who’s true? Truth crew. Take it down for a minute
16.
There is a deep deadly sadness growing inside of me it hurts to be here but I can’t leave And if I found a way to walk away, well where then what would I be? I’d be useless to you and worse to me and I don’t get any better on self-pity I don’t get anything else just this bit of time so I, I, I, I I’d like to help you up, I’ve got power to spare Don’t believe for a second that there’s no one else there I’ve got enough for you even in the depths of my despair I will help you up, I’ve got power to spare I feel the same way towards everything from a tiny worm to a leaning tree I love the underdog every time I’m not sure why or what it means Inequities in power compel me to try and overwhelming odds are when I thrive I’m not happy just on my game and one more time I’ll try to explain
17.
Let’s go off the deep end past the lines of even war. Claims of decency or moral high-ground no matter how you twist the words it’s just wrong Justify your cruelest day they’re not like us they’re small you see Burn their eyes, remove their skin, open their heads to see what ticks Swim ‘til exhaustion takes you down this is somehow relevant tell me how Yes I would give back the medicine if that is what it actually meant Cut out your own heart that’s where the sickness is It won’t hurt at all you don’t feel anything Cut out your own heart that’s where the sickness is Take my word it won’t hurt at all I’m not aware of any reason that any life is worth less than me You’ve said intelligence and I laughed, said reason and I gagged say compassion and I’ll lose my mind When I snap it will be for this and in my cell write an endless list Of who you are and what you did the lies you told to further this And don’t think that you won’t be on it because all you did was close your eyes Layers of god stacked three deep. DNA, men and greed Cut out your own heart that’s where the sickness is It won’t hurt at all you don’t feel anything Cut out your own heart that’s where the sickness is It won’t hurt at all All unmighty things I’m sorry that it took me so long to get it. All unmighty things should parade across your conscience. Why did no-one tell me? All unmighty things Why don’t they tell kids? All unmighty things Why don’t they tell kids? All unmighty things Go on tell them what we’ve done
18.
I’m the prisoner of an insane regime. They let me walk around but I cannot leave. Their control here is almost complete the last step is for me believe. Believe that they’re trying or that and they really mean well believe they can’t see and that they think they offer hope I know that they don’t but they won’t leave it alone Their faces all smiles and their rhetoric choice the common line “it’s the best that we’ve got” their fallback defense is that they don’t know they’ve asked and they’ve asked but I cannot say so This place is a lifeboat and the captains got this grin that makes me want to jump over board and swim as hard as I can away from it all But there is nowhere to go so I stay and I row I want the safety of home but they keep saying no. "You do the work, we’ve got it all figured out. Just row" Their faces all smiles and their rhetoric choice the common line “it’s the best that we’ve got” Their fallback defense is that they don’t know and they’ve asked and they’ve asked but I cannot say so They know You know you’re safe somewhere inside so you take your time While you wait it’s life so don’t claim you tried I can tell you something about the cards that they hold they like to have you believe that they don’t but they know They’ve come to their pulpits they want my support They say we’re doing our best you’ve got to know but I don’t they know
19.
You're see through I can see through you You're see through I can see through you I can see through I can see through your lies I can see through I can see through your lies But what I can't do when I see through you I can't see through I can't see through your eyes You're see through I can see through you You're see through I can see through you I find it hard to understand what it is you think your doing or what it is you'll actually gain do you think you can trick the whole world and no-one will see that you’re a supercharged wraith I know what your doing and your tactics make me laugh but there’s people who don’t and that’s just fuckin sad You’re not out to save the world you’re not gonna give it a chance your the drunk behind the wheel of 20,000 tanks. You control what I see on my television and when I’ve called you on your occlusion you’ve even tried even tried to blind this punk on a mission but your pepper-spray has just sharpened my vision It’s not cause I’ve got x-ray eyes it’s more about the fact that I’m so sensitive to lies All you’ve managed to do is split the world in 2 and fatten your pockets but your profits won’t last the support that you gain is gonna spike and then crash cause you’ve taught all your cattle to revolve around cash And even if you manage to stay on top for a while it’s rising up like my anger and bile up from the streets all around you in through the same cracks I can see through and like water expands when the freeze up comes get my meaning it’s time to run We’re in the midst of historical times looking back you won’t believe your eyes Stand up take warning another dictator’s on the rise another Mussolini with the world in his eyes. You try to hold us down with deceit and lies but I’m not blind… Fuck you! I can see through you
20.
Sit with me anger it’s just you and me let’s clear this up I can’t let you leave Something’s not the same though I said I’d never change- All this talk is losing steam, rants become a drone I need the clarity you bring, so the drive can stay cause now I stand and philosophise while the world moves away It’s chaos that fuels me outrage that feeds me the simplicity that frees me and not moving is gonna beat me What if I thought about things? What if they were things that can’t be? What if I cried for change? Could I teach anyone to see? Everything I learn says you can’t win and all that it takes is the march of time How can you be so sure on a path, it’s not a simple world but the confusion falls away when you break things down to right or wrong The contrast is high between move and rot the more you’ve got the more you want to stop What happened to you, you no longer want anything so much like me you’re tempted by sleep What if I thought about things? What if they were things that can’t be? What if I cried for change? Could I teach anyone to see? What if it was I’ll I could do? What if I needed my rage and what if no-one else could be bothered to care. What if it tried to leave me? Then the only question left to ask was, “What if I fail?” And…Why the lost cause? Why’d I choose this? What can I do? What if it mattered to me? What if I fade? Why should I try? Why the questions? There was a time we hadn’t even met so long ago I can’t even remember it But I didn’t need you I had the clarity of youth, a narrow perspective and the faith that I could. But age tends to jade eyes and skin turns to leather concrete waivers and knowledge shows a lack of it all kinds of questions about perfect directions confuse the thinker. And it just doesn’t get better Oh my friend I’m in a cold dark night your existence has always been my fire and light But now you’ve been doused by a confused mess. Still, I’d fall and drown if I let you go But I can’t and I won’t so keep me warm there is a brutal doubt trying to break me down for a time I find the strength and then comforting voice like a sirens song says you’ve got it all Lay down.
21.
Glass eyes scan my skin and I’d sever my spine just to not feel it anymore when I look up I wanna see the sun I should feel warm not sick to my stomach. I’ve been dreaming about death a death where the pain is gone a death where the confusion of the city can’t reach me and most of all meters of soil protect me from those hard eyes How broken would I have to be to feel alright watched this way What is wrong with every one of you that would ever think that this is ok? It can’t be just me I cover my face in public spaces because my photograph is not yours to keep Are masks and padding the way that we will dress just to maintain anonymity? I don’t remember what privacy was and I know that it is something today’s children will never understand guardian drones will shape their minds The streets are occupied by armies of bots I’m not crazy just look around Am I the only one who doesn’t know where I’m going right now? Stand up meet the gaze this is your life too.

There is fleeting moments when I feel my life is worth something but I don't matter to me and I don't matter to you. This theme’s a variation on the greatest of problems life inside the beast is actually worth nothing So we all accept an opiate and think we're better off. Whether academic or prostitute or evil in a three piece suite under this system you ever wonder what you're worth if your not made of gold I've got some news for you. Wake up you're all worth nothing Junkies shoot junk see while business men chase money and drunk teens kill drunk teens cause they've been taught what life means by the same fuckin machine It all means the same see it all means nothing it all means nothing it all means nothing When your egos inflated from being stroked by your boss try to remember you’re only worth what you cost. We all play these silly games and think we're something that we're not do you really think it matters if you live or just rot You got no money so I’ll give away the truth I do appraisals of poor folk like you I count up your fillings and surgical steel screws The value of your life? Here's an estimate for you. Wake up you're all worth nothing
24.
Holding a single thought and a relentless passion is fanatical to some idealistic to others. to have only one duty to destroy the order to benefit future generations. this is more powerful than any stupid religion, political trend or hollow tradition what this boils down to is perception of freedom singular purpose and sacrifice Hold one thought just a single thought hold one thought in your head for all your time here Hold one thought, hold on, hold fast one thought one thought one thought one thought They call it conviction cause there’s no way out that ideal for some is a sentence for others When you lose your way you are lost sounds simple enough maybe not Think about what moves you is there anything at all we’d all like to think we do as much as we can there is no excuse but confusion for now distraction from purpose is their favorite tool Hold one thought just a single thought hold one thought in your head for all your time here Hold one thought, hold on, hold fast, one thought one thought one thought one thought We strive for a life of autonomy, this is a cause and not just a spark. behold, the spirit of Nechayev’s contempt for the tsar Hold one thought just a single thought hold one thought in your head for all your time here Hold one thought, hold on, hold fast, one thought one thought one thought one thought Cult like dedication, a keen sense of destruction an endless struggle for real change imagine if tomorrow could never be the same what you live for, is what you will die for
25.
The story is about Chiapas and the Brazen Mohawk roar and all the love filled soldiers who who’ve lived and died for more They’re the ones among the crowd that won’t back down the stories and legends that humble us all For dreams of justice, brave romantics with amazing will of heart and purpose They speak to us say, “own your fear”. The words of these warriors have rung in my ears for years I fought the way it was but I’m not a hero I just stood up when no gambler would take those odds Like tiny alpine flowers on a wasteland of battered soil all they need is the smallest piece of ground to live their lives But those with too much have the only means to take it all. Who can face that challenge? Who can see what’s wrong? Brasilia’s workers, Sandinistas, Peoples army ragtag rebels Tiny Diggers, smaller chances will they be forgotten no I don’t think so I fought the way it was but I’m not a hero I just stood up when no gambler would take those odds Wolverine is not far away he’s in our hearts he’s on this stage Wolverine is not make believe he can’t be held back he’s in a rage We do what we do straight out of love and not for anything else and that’s why rebels sing

Run run run run my gorgeous cousins to a beautiful place where the helis don’t fly Out of the reach of man and industry away from this scourge, the destroyer of all This doesn’t come from logic or ignorance you’ve been set up and sentenced to die You’ve been blamed but you won’t be tried just poisoned or shot for someone else’s crimes Don’t blame the wolf, don’t blame the seal if it will help you can blame me Blame the tar sands and the fishing fleets, or forestry, blame industry 200,000 cattle trample the land, roads end wilderness for everything it has The tailing ponds kill the river that runs through and wolves get the blame for missing Caribou Giant drag nets scrape the ocean dead and somehow seals are the new threat Double the humans in less than 50 years and it’s someone else’s fault when the herds disappear Don’t blame the wolf, don’t blame the seal, if it will help you can blame me, Blame the tar sands and the fishing fleets, or forestry blame industry Don’t blame the wolf, don’t blame the seal, if it will help you can blame me, How about the growing cities and the sprawling streets, blame agriculture, blame industry Blame me Blame me Every witch hunt the same purpose, be it women, wolves, snakes or albatross How long will these games go on they do nothing to help and only deepen the loss Blame the war on nature, blame the fear of green, blame the lazy cowards in huge machines, Blame us all together as we poison the sea, blame the way we consume and breed and breed or pesticides and the GMO wheat, the water you waste for the taste of meat Blame acid rain, yes it’s still a thing, clear-cuts you can see from space reactor leaks, open pits, massive dams and their floods of death Blame our anthropocentric mind disease, science dragged out back and forced to its knees Blame your own inaction while the world bleeds, blame that on the distractions of your silly scene I know you need a sacrifice to your god of greed if it will help you can take me blame me blame me blame me

You've got those darting eyes, a crooked spine, you will never grow old Suspicious times, counting crimes, your rhymes continue to un-fold Climbing high, just as time it flies, we will never grow old Memories, the only things, some stories to go untold We'll be here and you'll be near Just like you always were And we won't forget what you said We will remember everything All we have to do is just push play The seasons change, life is re-arranged, but you will always be the same In our eyes, in the ground and sky, a vision all too clear We will push to gain as the world cries, and carries on in pain We realize as the days go by, to see things through your eyes We'll be here and you'll be near Just like you always were And we won't forget what you said We will remember everything All we have to do is just push play We want to jump over board and swim as hard we can, away from it all Oh our friend we're in a cold dark night Your existence has always been our fire and light What we do is all we are and we can probably do better than the pain we're causing (It can't be just you) They say love these walls cause without them we’'d fall but this thinking’'s so small we only live, despite them all. Their cages won’t save us, they'’re no help at all. We know they're fucking wrong. We are not leaving and we are your fault. We are all your fault We'll be here and you'll be near Just like you always were And we won't forget what you said We will remember everything All we have to do is just push play We will remember everything All we have to do is just push play
